The online designer

Layers, uploads, crops and saved designs, and how a design carries through to production.

The designer lives in the customer portal at Designer. Customers build on a 480 × 600 canvas, layer by layer, on the garment style and colourway they picked.

Layers

Layers can be nudged, resized, rotated and given an opacity, and removed. Image layers can have their background stripped: see background removal.

Uploads

Image uploads are capped at 5 MB and must be an image. Every upload is filed in your asset library as a logo asset owned by that customer's organisation and tagged designer, so a logo a customer uploaded in March is still there in November and you are not chasing them for the file again.

Files are served through a tenant-checked route, not a public path, so one customer's uploads are never reachable from another's session.

Saving and ordering

A saved design carries its name, placement, style, colourway and decoration method. Once it is saved, the design page shows a size matrix: one row per size for that style and colourway, in size-chart order, with live pricing as quantities are typed. That pricing runs the same engine as your quotes, so what the customer sees is what your rules say.

Adding a design to the cart carries the design through, and when the resulting quote is accepted the design's mockup becomes artwork V1 automatically. See mockup generation.

What it is not

It is a customer-facing composition tool, not a print production editor. There is no colour separation, no trapping, no vector editing and no spot-colour management. Treat the output as a visual brief that arrives with the artwork already filed, then produce from your own tools.
