Branding the portal
Shop name, accent colour, welcome copy, and the two dashboard panels you can switch off.
Full guide: https://docs.printersfriend.com/setup/customer-portal
Brand & portal in the admin. Owner and manager roles only. Everything here is one screen and one Save.
What you set
- Shop name: used across the portal, the emails you send, and your PDF documents.
- Contact email and phone: what customers see when they want a human.
- Location.
- Accent colour: a hex value, applied through the portal so it reads as your shop rather than a software vendor's skin.
- Portal welcome: the greeting on the portal dashboard.
- Portal call to action: the action you want customers to take next.
The two panels you can switch off
- Year-to-date spend. Useful for clubs tracking a budget, awkward if you would rather a customer not add up what they have spent with you in one glance.
- Favourites. Turn it off if your customers reorder the same three lines and the panel is just noise.
Both are on by default.
Your shop name matters more than it looks
Saving a shop name is what retires the Getting started wizard from the sidebar. It is also the name that appears in the back-in-stock emails and on every PDF header, so set it properly rather than leaving a placeholder.
What is not here
Logo upload, custom domains and per-customer theming are not on this screen. The accent colour plus your shop name is the whole branding surface today. Affiliate and campaign stores have their own layout choices, on their own editors.
For the thinking behind treating the portal as a retention tool rather than a file drop, see the customer portal as a retention tool guide.
